This is going to be a quick post, but I promise to come back soon and post pics of Thomas. I know that's what you want anyways!

I am embarking on a new journey in the blogging world. I've started a "professional" blog if you will at newlifesteward.com I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it if you would pop over and visit the site. It is very NEW (as in 2 posts...) but I'm working on it and very excited!

If you are so inclined, you and subscribe via e-mail, just type your address into the box on the right of the webpage. Or you can subscribe via your feed reader.

If you're on Facebook, give me a "like" at my page: New Life Steward.

If you do all those things, that would be FABULOUS! If you want to be an overachiever. Please COMMENT on the blog posts. That would be amazing. A friend wrote on her blog that comments are the new virtual hugs! I would LOVE to get tons of hugs from friends and family as I start this journey!

I also promise to continue to post about Thomas and our family here. This will remain my personal blog to archive our family memories!

Thanks, I love you all!

Blogging from HOME!

Finally, and it has not been an easy road. The Metrocast internet didn't work out. Apparently it stops 5 houses down on our side of the street. Sad. Sad. Day.

So I went back to AT&T and pleaded with the people that I desperately needed internet. Enter making my iPhone a personal hotspot. Not the perfect solution because we have a 5MB monthly limit, but a solution nonetheless. And a WAY cheaper solution than home internet. I'll take it. please and thank you.

So here I am. Blogging from home. For the first time in 4 months! Crazy!

I leave you with a picture of Thomas because we all know that's the only reason you click over:

Thomas is delighted that Duke has come to visit him. The boy really needs a puppy, but his mama is too lazy and his daddy is too cheap.

Easter Sunday with the Ketchums

We spent Easter weekend with the Ketchums. Here are some highlights! Thomas had a BLAST! He absolutely loved playing outside with his big cousins. He was exhausted when we got home.
Thomas' Easter basket. The only "new" item he got was an NIrV Bible for children. Everything else was "new to him". We really haven't decided exactly how we are going to approach the Easter bunny (or Santa for that matter). I know that we want to keep the focus of these holidays on Christ, but it would be naive to completely ignore this aspect of it as he will run into it outside our home. So as Mark Driscoll says, we want to "redeem" these traditions...we just aren't sure what our method will be yet. Anyhow, he's just one, so not much explaining this year.

Checking it all out. I love his little belly poking out!

The boy cousins...Matthew, Andrew, and Joseph (Todd and Nicole's kids)

Sweet boy. He looked SO handsome in his Easter outfit. We never get to wear smocked outfits (too expensive and Daddy doesn't like them), but BOY does he wear them well when he gets the chance!!

Big smiles!
The girl cousins...Kaylea and Clara Beth (Jason and Tiffany's kids)

Riding the golf kart with Pops. This was his absolute most favorite part of the whole weekend. He kept walking over to it grunting. (The trampoline was probably a close 2nd!)

Refusing to hunt Easter eggs.

Talking to Pops on the golf kart.

Sneaking a snack!

This was too cute. Kaylea was sitting at the table with all her M&Ms spread out shoveling them in with both hands!

The "big" cousins watching a movie in Pops' recliner!

Easter Egg Hunt #1

I tortured my poor brother by making him bring Luke over to mom and dad's for an Easter egg hunt the weekend before Easter. He says it was to satisfy my own emotional needs and has nothing to do with the children. Maybe so, maybe so. I think everyone had a good time though.
Thomas playing with his new ball with Uncle Fatty
Thomas and I went with Grammy to pick out little Easter happys for the boys. Epic. Fail. First, we go to Wal-Mart. We pick out a zoo-talkers truck for Luke because I knew he liked the zoo-talkers. I didn't find anything I wanted for Thomas, so we go to K-Mart. There, Thomas falls IN LOVE with this green ball and a ball popper push toy. So that's what he gets. Yay! When mom goes to give the zoo talkers truck to Luke, they said he already had one. In fact, mom had just played with him with that exact toy two or three nights before. LOL. So then she goes BACK to Wal-Mart to return it with Ashley and Luke to get something for Luke. They find nothing at Wal-Mart and go back to K-Mart, where they find a bubble blowing lawn mower that I had ALREADY shown mom but couldn't sell her on. So Luke got a lawn mower!
Thomas pushing Luke's mower even though he refuses to push the one he has at home. (He has since decided to start pushing his...)

Luke helping Poppa out with the grass!

Thomas coming to check out his singing card from Nanny and Pa!

Luke is ready to go...he had been practicing and knew what to do.

Thomas, however, totally didn't get it. This mama will know to prepare better next year!

He finally got one!

But then he discovered the grass in his bucket which he found way more delightful!

Fighting over the eggs once it was discovered there was food inside!

I think I'll just sit down and have a snack.

Hey, this works, they are bringing the eggs to me now!

In other news, I should be blogging from HOME by Thursday afternoon! That is right, internet is scheduled to be hooked up Thursday! Yipee!
