So as we were getting out of the pool, Luke was eyeing the water slide they had set up for the bigger kids. We slid down the blow up water slide that Nana and Pops had over the Fourth of July weekend with Thomas, so I though I'd take him over to slide. HA! This one apparently had a weight limit that is below my current weight as the whole thing collapsed in on us when we got to the top!
I'm still thinking this might be possible...
Then I tried to swing my legs around...no go!
And so we just fell out and back down to the bottom! Luke was a little upset!
So the little man is VERY ready to eat some real food, and my parents are VERY ready to give him some. Therefore, I compromised and have let him play with a sippy cup with water in it and gnaw on an apple in this mesh thing. It appeases him during dinner and set my parents at bay for a little while longer. We are waiting until Thomas is 6 months old to give him any solid food (which is Thursday...hard to believe!)
TJ and Thomas are becoming fast friends. TJ loves to get in his face and give him kisses which Thomas thinks is so funny. We try to discourage this practice, but it doesn't always work. TJ is always close by us during the day and definitely does not like it when Thomas cries. He looks at me like, "Hello! Do something! The baby is unhappy!" Thomas is also very fascinated with Lady (long haired Dachshund), but sadly, she is not so fascinated with him. Annoyed is probably the better term. Or jealous.
Yesterday was Thomas' first day at Parent's Morning Out (because we have to be PC now and dads stay home too...) I was supposed to be starting my job that day as well, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, that got pushed back to next week. So I had absolutely NOTHING to do but miss my baby while he was at PMO. Apparently, he missed me too because he got a fussy on his take-home sheet. That's the longest he's every been away from both me and Michael, so I guess it will just take him some time to get used to it. Its only 3 mornings a week, we can do it!

We were so excited to get to visit with our friends Heath, Rebecca, and Adelae over lunch last Sunday! Thomas and Adelae had so much fun together. She gave him lots and lots of kisses. To Thomas' (but not her daddy's) delight! We even got to spend some extra time with them due to car trouble. Sad about the car trouble, happy about the extra time!!
Thomas had us rolling in the floor laughing at him last night. He has learned to stick out his tongue, and he thinks its awesome! I'm so glad he waiting until AFTER he sat through his first church service to learn this trick! That's right, he went into BIG church last night. It was our music minister's last service, so it was all music. I thought he would enjoy it, and I was right. However, he chose to express his enjoyment by talking and babbling along, so mom took him out after about 35 minutes. Luckily he was not sticking his tongue out at all those around him! But later when we got home (and he refused to go to bed) he started sticking his little tongue out at us. If you stick yours out at him, he will stick his out at you!! So cute!! (well for now...)
