Dear Parker,
You are such a blessing to our family. Already, having you here has taught mommy so much about herself and her need for God. That's a big deal little buddy! You are adored by everyone. You brother isn't quite sure what to do with you, but he loves you. You are:
- sleeping in the bed with mommy (we kicked dad to the couch!)
- nursing like a champ about every 2 hours
- the fastest nurser ever! About 5-10 minutes on one side and you're done!
- growing like a weed! At 2 weeks, you were 11 pounds 2 ounces already!
- talented: at 3 weeks, you rolled over 3 times but haven't done it since!
- a great sleeper! Sometimes you fuss because you want to go to sleep!
- just beginning to give me shy grins every now and then. I have to work really hard for them!
You also have epic baby acne which drives me bonkers, but you don't seem to mind. You also have the biggest blue eyes I've ever seen (we just thought Thomas had big blue eyes)! I am so excited to watch you grow and see your little personality come out.

Parker's Newborn Pictures
Melissa at Twice the Focus took Parker's newborn pictures. He was 10 days old. I have to say, she is impressive. I left there thinking we would get nothing good. Thomas was WAY more interested in exploring outside than taking a picture, and Parker refused to go to sleep and be posed sweetly for his picture. But she did it. She got at least 1 good shot of everything I asked for. I highly recommend Twice the Focus. They were a pleasure to work with and for a good price. We chose to do the Year With Us package, so they will do pictures at 6 months and 1 year as well!

So these were taken when Parker was about 3 weeks old. With the exception of our professional pictures, these are the first pictures we have as a family of 4. Life with 2 kids I suppose.

Thomas Meets Parker
Parker was born at 9:21 p.m. By the time we both were cleaned up enough to welcome visitors, it was very late. Thomas' first encounter with Parker was not at all how I imagined. Thomas didn't want anything to do with me. He was rather unconcerned with Parker. He really just wanted his dad's french fries.
