Burks Family Vacation

Since both Ashley and me had babies this summer, we weren't sure if we were going to be able to make a family vacation work this year. We didn't make it to the big Burks vacation, but we managed to steal a few days at the beach with my parents in mid-September. Y'all...I may have a new favorite time to go to the beach! It was amazing. No waiting at any restaurants. The beaches weren't crowded. No traffic. And the condo rates were great too! I plan to capitalize on this until the kids are in school (or maybe that's just another reason to homeschool!).

The boys would ask someone to go fill their buckets with water, but they would only go half way and then stop!

Gulf Coast Children's Museum

Thomas is obsessed with children's museums. He tells me randomly all the time that he wants to go to the "moo-seum". When we decided to go to the coast with the Ketchums, Michael ran a quick search to see if they had a children's museum nearby. Lucky for us, they did! We decided to stop and let Thomas play on our way home Monday in hopes that he would sleep the rest of the way home. :) Michael's brother Todd and his family also joined us for the fun!

Ketchum Family Vacation

We went down to the Mississippi Gulf Coast with the Ketchum Family over Labor Day weekend for a quick vacation. I was skeptical at first, but other than a hair found in my food one night, we had a fabulous time! We all stayed in one house and the kids loved playing with each other all the time! There was a fun splash pad within walking distance, and Nana and Pops brought the water slide--what more could kids ask for!?

Pa's Birthday Party Photo Shoot
