Thomas Goes to Mississippi!!

Wow oh wow was that whirlwind of a weekend! We left thursday at 5:30 PM and drove through the night, arriving at home just in time to catch the queen head to the church at 4:30 AM. I have to give Thomas credit, he did amazing considering he's never been in the car for longer than 30 minutes. The poor little guy just had trouble staying asleep with all the bumps in the road and lights going through big cities. I finally swaddled him in the car seat, and he slept from Vicksburg until we got to my parents'. Anyways, you don't care about all that, you just want pictures! Here is Friday's line-up:

Meeting crazy Uncle Fatty! (Don't lecture me! Its an affectionate term, I am Aunt Tay as in Fat-Tay.) Notice Thomas' new thing of putting the bottoms of his feet together. Michael asks him all the time if he's meditating.

Luke really liked Thomas. He did really well being sweet! Of course Thomas liked Luke too! He's just ready to be able to move like Luke!

Chillin' with Poppa!

I believe that wraps up everyone we saw on Friday. We took him by Profiles when I got my hair cut to meet Lindsay Stokes. Otherwise, he got a break from the car seat and stayed home all day. He was so pooped, he went to bed at 8:30 and didn't wake up until 5! Sweet Grammy let Thomas stay in her room, so Michael and I got a really good night's sleep!

Thomas' First Easter

Our attempt at a family picture in the bluebonnets. As previously stated, Thomas hates the sun, so this didn't go well. When we tried to take pictures of him by himself, he just screamed! So this is all we've got!

Thomas Goes to a Baseball Game!

Only one picture was taken to document this momentous occasion. Michael's office went to a Ranger's game to celebrate the end of tax season. Since it is likely our last opportunity to go and it was free, we decided to brave it with the baby! He was SO good! We had the all you can eat seats, so I was able to take him inside and let him out of the Moby wrap to stretch and play. He was mesmerized from the time we got out of the car. He just looked all around at everything. We made it to the end of the 8th inning and both Mommy and Baby boy were tired, so Daddy gave in and took us home. It was perfect timing too because Thomas was MAD when we got in the car. Fun car ride home from Arlington, but he slept WONDERFULLY that night and pretty much all day Sunday!

So Thomas HATES the sun. He refuses to open his eyes when he's outside. So I thought if I took him outside to play for awhile, he'd eventually HAVE to open his eyes. Nope. Just sat there with his eyes shut the whole time. Even with the sunglasses and hat on. Still Shut.

He really likes Eric Carle. His eyes get so big looking at the pictures. He's amazed!

Its a Bird, Its a Plane, Its THOMAS!

Thomas loves to play airplane with his Daddy. AND its Daddy's go to trick when Thomas is fussy! Works every time...almost! I tried to capture the big grin on his face when he does this, but he always refuses to smile once I get the camera out!

Thomas Goes Swimming!

We took Thomas to the indoor pool at the seminary last week on Michael's day off! I think he had fun! I know I did! He seemed to enjoy being in the water and kicking his legs. He got mad when you held him in a way that he couldn't kick his legs. He also really enjoyed watching the big kids swim! His girlfriend, Adelae, also joined us! I wish I had the camera when she got in the pool. He just grinned at her!! He's really sweet on her! Please excuse the extremely tight shirt. Mommy bought the size according to his age, but I'm quickly learning that he's a little large for his age. I was slightly concerned we were going to have to cut it off! But it came off and everyone survived!

Please excuse this awful swimsuit! The RAC has a modesty policy, so I had to pull out the old one piece from my LFR days. Not that I was really wanting to get in a bikini, but a tankini would've looked cuter!
